Product Description

Cosilana jackets are made in Germany from wool fleece. Wool fleece is fleece made from organic wool and organic cotton. It is an ideal material to wrap your baby or child in, as wool regulates your child's temperature. The sleeves of the Cosilana jacket have long wool cuffs that you can fold up if desired to make the jacket fit better. The jersey cuffs fit snugly so that the wind cannot blow into the sleeves. You can easily close the jacket with wooden buttons.

COSILANA BABY JACKET FEATURES

WHICH SEASON IS THE JACKET SUITABLE FOR?

Sizing

Fit:

Please note: The wool fleece jackets are generously sized! To determine the correct size, we have measured the jackets for you (see table). We recommend comparing the measurements with a garment that currently fits your child well, in order to get a good idea of the sizing. This way, you can be sure that you order the correct size for your child! (It's not a problem if the jacket is still a bit too big. The sleeves can easily be rolled up to make the jacket fit.)

Washing instructions

Please note: This item does not need to be washed before first use. The material has already been thoroughly cleaned after the knitting process. In addition, wool is naturally self-cleaning, so it generally does not need to be washed often. Simply airing it outside overnight or hanging it in a steamy bathroom can work wonders, leaving it smelling fresh again.

If the item gets a stain, you can easily spot-clean it with a small amount of gall soap. (Do not use regular stain removers, as these can damage the wool fibres.)

If the item needs to be washed, please note that wool fleece is more delicate than other wool products. To keep it looking its best for as long as possible, wash it by hand or use a wool cycle on your washing machine (do not use the hand wash or delicate cycle).

Hand wash: Gently move the item through lukewarm water (max. 30°C / 86°F) without rubbing or wringing. Make sure the water remains at the same temperature throughout the wash, so do not rinse with cold water. Use a mild, natural wool detergent and do not use fabric softener. After washing, gently press out excess water using a towel, reshape the item, and lay it flat to dry. Do not dry it on a radiator or in a tumble dryer.

Wool cycle: Wash at max. 30°C / 86°F using a low spin speed, preferably no more than 400 rpm. Use a mild, natural wool detergent and do not use fabric softener. After washing, gently reshape the item and lay it flat to dry. Do not dry it on a radiator or in a tumble dryer.

This item was washed during the production process as part of our quality control and to ensure it retains its correct shape. Any shrinkage that occurs afterwards is usually the result of using the wrong wash programme (for example, a hand wash or delicate cycle instead of a wool cycle), using an unsuitable detergent (too harsh or not specifically formulated for wool), washing at too high a temperature, or using a spin speed that is too high.
