Wool is self-cleaning and antibacterial.
Boiled wool is a natural product that does not need to be washed often. The salopette is dirt-repellent due to the natural wool grease (lanolin) contained in the wool fiber. With light soiling it is often sufficient to gently brush the salopette. If the clothes have a stain, you can clean them locally. Even hanging it outside for a night or in the damp of the bathroom works well, and it will smell nice and fresh again!
Need to wash anyway? Turn the salopette inside out. Wash the wool by hand. Use a small amount of wool detergent and lukewarm (not cold) water. Avoid pinching, wringing and rubbing and gently squeeze the water between your flat hands or a towel from clothing. Horizontal drying gives the best result. Air-dry the salopette and do not put it in the dryer.
The salopette is available in the colors: gray, red, dark blue, brown, burgundy, gold, pacific, olive and blue.
